During the harvest, with the harvesters operating for long hours without interruption and under severe conditions, the risk of fire in the machine and in the plantation is always present and when it happens it not only destroys the harvester, a vital piece of equipment that cannot be replaced immediately, but also causes a significant loss of production, difficult to recover in the short term.

Especially for sugarcane harvesters, Kidde Fire Systems has studied the risks and places most prone to fire and developed a KVS Sentinel system that will act with maximum efficiency, extinguishing the fire in most cases.

ITS MAIN FEATURES ARE:

Protection area: engine compartment, hydraulic pumps and electrical system under the operator's cab.

Automatic triggering, by heat detection Kidde LHS Linear Heat Sensor, installed in the protected areas or alternatively,

Manual firing, commanded by the harvester operator.

Extinguishing agent: ABC 90 powder (ammonium monophosphate) high performance, tri-class, for fires class A (solid materials), class B (liquid fuels) and class C (electrical equipment).

Cylinder with 50 pounds (22.65 kg) of ABC powder, with direct pressurization (this type of pressurization prevents the vibration of the harvester from causing the compacting of the ABC powder, resulting in a faulty shot and a reduction in the quantity of powder).

Eight nozzles with an exclusive Kidde design, which guarantee complete distribution of ABC dust over the protected area.

High pressure rubber hoses for conveying the ABC powder and connections with specification for severe use, to avoid that the vibration of the harvester causes ruptures that will annul the effective fire fighting.

Warranty: 12 months from the date of installation. Simple maintenance according to the Kidde manual and no need to open the cylinder for a period of 5 years if no shot has occurred.
